Pipes at Plant 15 LIBERTY Ostrava are produced on the Stiefel 4-10″ and Stiefel 140 lines only from continuously cast billets. The main production program is seamless rolled pipes in the form of plain, threaded, flanged and oil pipes. The most demanding product is seamless oil pipes - casing, pumping and oil pipelines. An integral part of the production program are spirally welded pipes, the main application of which is in the construction, gas and water industries.
Plant 15 – Pipe Plant successfully certified the quality system according to ISO 9001 in 1992 as the first in the Czech Republic. The environmental management system according to ISO 14001 was first certified in 1999. Subsequently, in 2008, the company also obtained certification of the occupational health and safety management system according to OHSAS 18001 (now ISO 45001) and the energy management system according to ISO 50001 in 2016. The pipe plant also holds certificates from leading external approval companies Lloyd’s Register EMEA (1988), Bureau Veritas (1992) and DNV-GL (1996) and others. Seamless and spirally welded pipes intended for pressure equipment were certified according to the European Directive PED 2014/68/EU by TÜV NORD in 2001.
